Costco: the Excitement is Building

The new Viera Costco location now under construction is expected to open sometime in the fall as an integral part of the area near the I-95/Pineda interchange.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]“Located near the recent extension of Lake Andrew Drive and the connection to the Interstate 95/Pineda interchange,” said Todd Pokrywa, president of Viera, “the store serves as the first anchor in a mixed-use primary Interchange District. The Viera Co. has made something very significant in investments in regional infrastructure near the Pineda Interchange, which will allow us to be agile to meet residential and advertising demand in the middle of the Space Coast market. “

Pokrywa described Costco’s store as “at the gateway to more than 3,000 acres of land west of I-95, planned for a long-term progression within the community, with many projects and neighborhoods already in stages of planning, design, engineering, permitting and construction. “

Costco will be a main attraction in the new Pineda Interchange District, a “mixed-use center” that joins two others in Viera: Borrows West on Viera Boulevard and I-95 and Viera City Center.  The Pineda Interchange District, like the existing ones, will be a combination of office, hotel, retail and multifamily use.

Local Costco customers are looking forward to shopping at the new store.  There is even a facebook organization with about 1800 members called “We Took Costco to Brevard County.” Many of these people now drive to Costco locations in Orlando, so the local option will be extremely convenient for them.

There has to be many reasons for such loyalty and Viera residents will soon be able to learn for themselves what those reasons are.
