To rank high on the list, a place had to have good value, be a desirable place to live, and have a strong job market and a high quality of life.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
“U.S. News & World Report’s Best Places to Live rankings are intended to help readers make the most informed decision when choosing where to settle down. Metro areas in the rankings are evaluated using data from sources including the U.S. Census Bureau, the FBI, the U.S. Department of Labor and U.S. News’ own internal resources. This data was categorized into five indexes and evaluated using a methodology determined by Americans’ preferences.”
The five indexes are: Job Market, Value, Quality of Life, Desirability and Net Migration (measures people moving to or away from the area.)
