Viera’s Parent Company, Duda, #4 in 2024 Golden 100

September 27, 2024 – Each year the Orlando Business Journal celebrates Central Florida’s largest privately held and locally based companies. We’re proud to say that A. Duda & Sons, Inc. ranked #4 in the list, known as the Golden 100.  Viera is a very important part of the A. Duda & Sons organization which is headquartered in Oviedo and is a Diversified Land Management company, including Duda Farm Fresh Foods, inc., Duda Ranches, The Viera Company, and Duda Commercial Properties.

According to the magazine, “While the rankings and faces of the Golden 100 change each year, the economic impact is always present. Orlando Business Journal also conducted a short interview with A. Duda & Sons management, on how they maintain stability and adapt to change.

What factors contributed the most to your company’s stability?Faith has been the foundation of our success and stability. Diversification in agriculture, real estate, and our overall investment profile. A committed and talented group of employees and team members.

How has the industry changed since your company’s founding? We’ve grown from a small, Central Florida farming business to an international agricultural operation and a multi-faceted real estate company.

What technology is your company excited about? Automation in our agriculture operations and harnessing AI and machine learning to improve many back room and administrative tasks.

How will your company innovate in the next few years? Continued automation in our various agriculture operations to reduce labor requirements, leveraging our celery IP globally, data analytic tools, and new ways of delighting our customers and consumers.

What was the largest project your company worked on/accomplished in the last year? Succession planning and organizational design allowing for realignment of business units and divisions for future growth and success.
